One of the easiest and most affordable ways to get your site up and running is going to be to use a free domain. They are the most popular internet domain extensions, with over half of the top 1000 being registered. You can get a free domain, but you will have to pay a fee of.00001 or more for the hosting your site is hosted on.
While cheap, you do have to pay the hosting. If you are hosting your site on a free plan, then you don’t have to pay a dime for the hosting. The only catch? If you do get your site hosted on a domain that is free, you are at risk of having your site blocked by Google. The block can be temporary or permanent.
Google is a bit of a tough one when it comes to domain hosting. In fact, you can have your site blocked by Google at any point in time and it will not be permanent. The reason for this is simple. Google’s search algorithm, like its name implies, is based on how many other sites link to a particular page. When you have a page that is being linked to by just a few other websites, Google may not have much of a problem with your site.
The reason for this is simple. Google is a sort of webmaster (or as I like to call it, “webmaster”) and Google wants people to know the webmaster is serious about their work. If there’s a site that is not linked to by Google and isn’t yet on the list of sites that are linked to by Google, it will block the site from being blocked. That means if any site is linked to by Google, it will be blocked.
