Django’s get_context_data method allows you to pass a Django model instance to any method. This can be useful in a number of ways, not the least of which is to grab context data on the server as the user is interacting with the application. In this example, I am passing the model instance from my views.py file to a button that I can use on my home page.

django is built on python and so allows you to pass data from anywhere to any other piece of code. By using django’s get_context_data method, I can pass the context to any part of my website.

For the sake of clarity, I’ll go ahead and say that django doesn’t provide a way to retrieve or update the data from a model, view or template. Instead, it is a framework, so you can pass variables with each method call. Django is built on python and so allows you to pass variables with each method call. Django’s get_context_data method is useful for passing the context to any part of the application.

We’d recommend that you read the book about Django before getting into the django package. It’s pretty cool, and very useful for the sake of your code, but the book does mention that you can’t use all of the code for a single method call. So you can just just have a few more methods with the same name.

So you can just have a few more methods with the same name. So you can just have a few more methods with the same name. django also provides a nice way to save and retrieve the data you pass. Say you have a form that contains several fields that you want to pass to a view.

You can just save the data to a variable and then access it later in the view. But there is a way to save the data to a model instance and then access it in a view.
